Winter Art Classes/Workshops Registration

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey announces its studio art classes and workshops for the winter 2012 semester beginning January 9, 2012. Register today for day, evening and weekend classes. This winter 136 classes and 90 workshops, including 23 new courses, will be available for kids, teens and adults.

An exciting adult class related to this winter’s Textility exhibition will be offered: For the Love of Textiles with Katie Truk. Other new classes include Ceramics for the Ultimate Beginner with Lisette Bedoya and Seeing in Color with Andrea Gianchiglia. The Art Center is not only a great place to take art courses but also a continuing education venue to learn more about contemporary art. The winter’s Lifelong Learning Series: European Philsophers on Art with Tiger Roholt, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Montclair State University, is a five-week lecture series that investigates the leading European philosophers’ theories on the nature of art.

Teens may choose among 13 classes, featuring new offerings such as Introduction to Graphic Design (ages 13+) and Fashion Photography (ages 13+). Over 85 classes and workshops are also sure to inspire children of all ages, including Gallery Exploration (ages 6-9) and Introduction to Fashion Design (ages 8-11).
