Free Beginner Painting Lessons Using Watercolors at the Berkeley Heights YMCA

Summit Area YMCA is offering free beginner watercolor painting class weekly at Berkeley Heights YMCA beginning Thursday, February 16, 2017.

The Summit Area YMCA offers free programs to the community and its members so they can learn, thrive, and grow. Our new free beginner painting lessons using watercolors will give participants a chance to express themselves in a supportive environment so they can explore and create their own work of arts.

Ann Piekarz, a native of NJ who has been painting watercolors for over 15 years will teach the fundamentals and basic techniques of playing and exploring with watercolors. Ann has attended many workshops around the world as well as classes at the Art Students League, Visual Arts Center, the Center for Contemporary Art and the Silvermine Arts Center.

Class supplies needed include: a watercolor set, brush, water container, 2B pencils, large drawing pad, and 140 lb. Arches cold pressed paper.
