Girls Day 5K Coming Back To Summit
Registration is now open for the Kent Place event celebrating the International Day of the Girl. .
SUMMIT, NJ - For the third time in as many years Kent Place is School in Summit is hosting the Girls Day 5K and registration is now open.
The run, walk and learn event to be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 and is open to the general public.
Girls Day 5K is a timed 5K run hosted by Kent Place School. At the same time, there
will be a student-led educational festival with activities centered around International
Day of the Girl (IDG). IDG is an annual day highlighting issues in girls’ education across
the globe. Proceeds will benefit BlinkNow, an organization that provides support for girls
and women in Nepal, officials said.

The event takes places on the Kent Place campus and the surrounding streets of Summit for the race course.
Early bird registration for $30 is now open through Sept. 1. After Sept. 1, registration will be $35, and $40 on the day of the race.

Kent Place School is an independent, nonsectarian, college-preparatory day school for
girls and young women with a coeducational preschool.
