On behalf of the New Jersey State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC) of the Junior Leagues of New Jersey, Chair Victoria L. Williams and Vice Chair Cheryl Bear hosted "Bubbles and Bills: An Introduction to Advocacy" on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Summit Elks Lodge. It was an inspiring evening where they shared their passions for advocacy and their commitment to championing the voiceless. Through a non-partisan approach, Junior League members and guests engaged in meaningful discussions on initiatives and legislation aimed at improving the lives of women and children, particularly in underserved communities.

Speakers included Ciro Scalera, Director of NJ LECET, and several distinguished legislators, such as Senator Jon Bramnick (NJ-21), Senator Anthony Bucco (NJ-25), Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis (NJ-21), Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (NJ-21), Assemblywoman Linda S. Carter (NJ-22), Assemblywoman Aura Dunn (NJ-25), and Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez (NJ-32). Also in attendance was Patrick Daily, Vice President of Member Services at the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.

This event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with members from all eight Junior Leagues across New Jersey, discuss their ongoing initiatives, and explore potential partnerships on key legislative efforts that will benefit the Garden State! As civic leaders, they are deeply committed to fostering community improvement through meaningful action and leadership.
At SPAC, their mission is to advocate for legislation and initiatives that improve the lives of women and children, with a particular emphasis on underserved communities. They are equally dedicated to advancing health equity, addressing food insecurity, combating human trafficking, and promoting mental health initiatives.
