Lululemon Athletica Store Opens Friday

Retail store offers free classes all weekend long.

lululemon athletica opens its first full retail store in Summit Friday on the corner of Maple Street and Springfield Avenue. The Summit showroom, previously located at 517-382 Springfield Avenue, has closed.

 As part of the store opening, the Springfield Avenue store welcomes the following new ambassadors:

  • Emma Magenta, Yoga Ambassador, South Mountain Yoga
  • Emma Kealy, Yoga Ambassador, Powerflow Yoga 
  • Julie Gurevich, Run/Yoga Ambassador, Powerflow Yoga 
  • Gina Pachkowski, Yoga Ambassador, Alluem Yoga
  • Wendy Gross-Pinto, Yoga Ambassador, The Yoga & Healing Center
  • Angie Comiteau, Bar Method Ambassador, The Bar Method
  • Jen Hendrick, Bar Method Ambassador, The Bar Method

 lululemon ambassadors are local athletes, instructors and/or role models in communities where there is a lululemon store. The program exists as a way to celebrate and promote athletic leaders who reflect lululemon’s core values. Ambassadors lead complimentary in-store classes, including yoga and running groups. They also test lululemon product to the limits, then provide feedback on design, fit and function.

To celebrate the store opening, lululemon invites guests to a 60-minute Rock Yoga class on Saturday evening at 7 p.m., led by lululemon ambassador Gina Pachkowski from Alluem Yoga. Celebrations continue Sunday morning with a 60-minute Vinyasa Flow class with Emma Kealy of Powerflow yoga at 9:45 a.m. All in-store classes are complimentary, open to the public and suitable for all levels
