"Piano Man" on the Green

The Summit Department of Community Programs (DCP) kicked off its Annual Hot Summer Nights (HSN) Concert Series, a free outdoor series, this past Tuesday with the well-known Beatles tribute band, Beatlemania Again.  Crowds gathered on the Green to sing along with some of their favorite Beatles hits and to pay tribute to 50 years of the Beatles coming to America.  The HSN Concert Series will continue next week as 52nd Street, a Billy Joel tribute band, takes the stage and gets ready to "Rock the Green."

Concerts begin at 7 PM on Summit's Village Green, 356 Broad Street.  Event-goers are encouraged to come early and enjoy a Pizza Vita dinner on the Green before or during the concert.  Free ice cream will be served by our "Green Army" and Presenting Sponsors for the HSN Concert Series, Investors Savings Bank.  After dinner, take your picture beside an Aston Martin or a new Volvo on the Green, courtesy of Premium Sponsor, Smythe Volvo and Aston Martin of Summit and Short Hills.

The Hot Summer Nights Concert Series will continue every Tuesday night on Summit's Village Green at 7 PM.  For more information on the HSN Concert Series or on all upcoming summer events held through the Summit DCP, please visit www.cityofsummit.org/recreation or call 908-277-2932.
