Police Blotter: Teen Arrested for Assault on Law Enforcement, School Employee

April 25

• At 2:46 a.m., police arrested a suspect identified as Paul M. Eckles, 42, of Chatham for allegedly driving while intoxicated on Broad Street.

April 26

• At 3:11 p.m., Summit Police arrested a suspect identified as Serafino Palatucci, S 48, of Westfield, for alleged third-degree shoplifting at a Springfield Avenue location.

• At 9:02 a.m., police responded to Overlook Medical Center on report of theft of manual pallet jack valued at $439. The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between April 5 and April 26.

April 27

• At 10:44 a.m., police responded to a Willow Road residence for a report of a theft of a metal glider swinging chair valued at $1,200 from the backyard of a home. The theft is believed to have taken place in the past week.

April 28

• At 3:32 p.m., a suspect identified as Michael D. Rodriguez, 33, of Newark, was arrested at River Road for allegedly driving while suspended.

• At 3:47 p.m., police responded to Edgewood Road for a report of a theft of a 2011 Land Rover from the driveway of the residence.
