Police Release Video In TGI Fridays Shooting In Linden

Breaking: Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect described as a light-skinned black man with long dreadlocks.

LINDEN, NJ — Authorities have released a surveillance video in connection with the shooting at TGI Fridays in Union County that sent an Irvington man to the hospital with serious injuries on Nov. 25.

Linden Police are asking for the public's help to offer any information related to the shooting.

Detectives believe that the suspect, described as a light-skinned black man with long dreadlocks, entered the parking lot at 400 South Park Ave. in a black sedan at around 11:11 p.m.

The suspect got out of the car, approached the victim and shot him several times in the torso from close range, Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said.

The suspect returned to the vehicle and left the parking lot onto S. Park Ave. in a sedan with the headlights off, Guenther said.

The victim was transported to Newark University Hospital with serious injuries. The victim remains in critical but stable condition.
