Scrap Metal Stolen From Broad Street: Summit Police

The material was taken from a container and driven away in a white van, police said.

SUMMIT, NJ - Summit Police are looking for a man who stole scrap metal from a container on Broad Street on Jan. 2, authorities said.

According to officials, Summit Police responded and took a report on theft of scrap metal from a business on Broad Street. The victim reported the incident occurred on Dec. 28 where a white van was observed pulling into the parking lot, police said.

Police said the suspect, a white male, exited the van and proceeded to remove scrap metal from a container located behind the business.

The victim reported the total amount of scrap metal taken was approximately $30.

The incident remains under investigation by the Summit Police Department.
