St. John's Christmas Carolers spread Joy
On Dec. 18th, members of St. John's Lutheran Church brought the sounds of Christmas joy to the streets of Summit, NJ.
The sounds of joyous Christmas carols could be heard through the streets of Summit on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 18th, as a group of carolers and brass instrumentalists from St. John's Lutheran Church shared their favorite Christmas carolers and candy canes with the community. Led by Pastors Gladys G. Moore and Blake A. Scalet, the group of singers included families, teenagers, and the young at heart. Pastor Moore was joined on trumpet by Stephanie Rothman and Nathan Ash-Milby. The afternoon's festivities concluded with more carol-singing and playing for the residents at the Vito Gallo senior housing building. The full brass ensemble, including Mark Nedde–trombonist, and Harold Clark–tubist, helped to lead there the singing of seasonal carols old and new.
