Stage House Tavern Opens New Location In Mountainside

Grand opening weekend will feature entertainment and special pricing on March 3 and 4.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — The Stage House Tavern is opening up its third location in Mountainside on Route 22.

The location is where the old L’Affaire used to be at 1099 Route 22 East.

“It was time to open another restaurant and the location is very good and we were able to do some amazing things with the space,” said Tom Britt, co-owner of Stage House.

The group of owners, including Britt, Derek Hambrecht and Moshe Davidesko, began running the Stage House in 2003 and currently have locations in Scotch Plains and Somerset.

Now they have completely gutted and reconstructed the location in Mountainside.

The building offers one big open room, with a huge skylight in the middle and planters featuring 20-foot tall trees sprouting out and tables.

A booth and garden area is also placed along the back. Along with regular seating there are two massive bars. One is a large T-shaped mahogany bar that seats 50 people and another in the main room that centers around a wood-burning oven for pizza.

The menu right now will be similar to the offerings at their Scotch Plains and Somerset locations, but there are plans to expand the pizza, taco and pasta sections.

The restaurant will open on Friday, Feb. 24 to the public but the grand opening weekend will kick off on March 3 and 4. During both days there will be entertainment and all dishes will be priced at $20 and under including filet mignon, rack of lamb and more.

Dr. Jameson Band will perform Friday, March 3 and The Benjamins will perform on Saturday, March 4.
