Statement from Bouras Properties

By now you've seen the 12-foot blow-up rat outside the building. It is there because Bouras Properties has hired a company to remove asbestos which apparently uses non-union workers.

Bouras Properties hired the asbestos removal company because of its competency and expertise, and the type of workers it employs was never discussed.

Nicholas J. Bouras, owner of Bouras Properties LLC,  currently owns a company with nearly fifty union workers, and recently sold a company that employed over 300 union workers. During his ownership of these companies, Mr. Bouras paid many millions of dollars in salaries and benefits to his union employees. Obviously, Mr. Bouras respects unions and their work.

Having such a display of a rat over a minor asbestos removal contract is totally inappropriate. Nonetheless, Bouras Properties apologizes for such an ugly display.
