October, 2022 – Student/Partner Alliance, a Summit-based non-profit, welcomed a new member to its Board of Trustees – Raymond J. Beier. Mr. Beier was a partner at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP in New York City before retiring in 2016. Since his retirement he has served as Audit Committee Chair of two companies: Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust and Blackstone Private Equity Strategies Fund L.P. He also serves on the Board of Governors at Baltusrol Golf Club. Ray and his wife Robin are also avid supporters of the Mercy House, a family-oriented resource center located in Newark with a focus on assisting pregnant and parenting women who need a safe and supportive environment.
“We know that Ray will bring great value to our board both in terms of his finance knowledge and his commitment to our students,” said Margaret Momber, Executive Director of Student/Partner Alliance, “Ray has already stepped up to serve as a mentor to one of our freshmen students. We are thrilled to have him join our board.” Student/Partner Alliance provides tuition assistance and mentoring to private high school students in New Jersey’s urban areas of Essex, Hudson and Union counties.
