Summer Musical Theater Intensive: Audition Today!

Whether you’re new to musical theater or you’ve been performing for years, Broadway & Beyond is the place to be! Auditions are now open for Broadway & Beyond’s Summer Musical Theater Intensive: The Wizard of Oz, Young Performer’s Edition with opportunities for rising stars ages 6-18. Interested performers may visit cafmusic.org/BBMTI to schedule an audition at The Continuo Arts Conservatory of Music (36 Chatham Rd, Summit, NJ 07901). This year's Musical Theater Intensive begins July 13th and runs Monday-Friday 9am-3pm with optional before and after child-care. Performances of The Wizard of Oz will take place on Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 2nd at 7:30pm.

A musical theater immersion experience, troupe members learn about the key elements of musical theater, enjoy working with an experienced, professional staff, and expand knowledge in areas that match their interests and talents. Throughout the program, performers are inspired in a creative, positive and interactive environment with enrichment in vocal production, acting, dance, choreography, staging, improvisation, character study, make-up techniques, stage management and set design. Broadway & Beyond uses the performing arts to spark creativity, build self-esteem and confidence, and prepare for life.

This year marks Broadway & Beyond’s 10th anniversary. Through the years, past performances include Frozen Jr, The Little Mermaid Jr, Beauty and the Beast Jr, Into the Woods Jr, Mulan Jr, Fiddler on the Roof Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, Aladdin Jr and The Wizard of Oz Jr. Beginning in 2017, Broadway & Beyond introduced its full year program, including Fall and Winter productions along with Triple Threat Prep workshops. Past seasonal productions include Aladdin Jr, Jungle Book KIDS, Peter Pan Jr, and Annie KIDS.
