Summit Debaters Take On Two Tourneys
The Summit Speech and Debate Team had two strong showings at two separate tournaments.
SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Speech and Debate Team showed up big at a pair of tournaments last weekend taking home s slew of top prizes for their efforts.
Three SHS varsity debate teams competed at St. Joseph's Villiger National Circuit Tournament. Nick Clements and Angela Li placed second in the competitive field earning a bid for the Tournament of Champions in Lexington, Kentucky in April,
In addition, even though several varsity members were performing in the fall play, the SHS Speech and Debate Team won first place team sweepstakes at the Randolph HS Tournament Saturday, Nov. 17.
Each of the six Summit debate teams won all four of their rounds at Randolph, an unprecedented record for the team.
