On Tuesday Summit Man From 'Biggest Loser' Will Announce Program

Jay Jacobs, who lost 181 lbs. on the NBC reality show, will kick off a year-long fitness challenge starting with two events in Summit.

SUMMIT, NJ — Jay Jacobs of Summit, a former "final four" contestant on NBC’s Biggest Loser Season 11, will host two events Tuesday to kick off his year-long fitness event starting in Summit, called the "Town That Gained A Ton."

He will appear at the Summit Public Library on Tuesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. to share weight loss experiences and fitness tips, and to kick off his new program.

Earlier that day, he will host a kickoff for the program at Trek Bicycle at 10 a.m.

According to the library, at the night-time event, he'll talk about "how he navigates and supports thousands of others each and every day to not only lose weight, but keep it off for life!"

"The Biggest Loser" series recently returned to TV, although in the past it has been criticized for allegedly promoting unreasonable body ideals, and for other issues.
