Summit National Night Out 2018

SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Police Department will host the City's National Night Out Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. at Village Green, 356 Broad St.

National Night Out is an initiative in which people in towns across the country gather at their homes, on their streets, and at their local community centers in recognition of their support of the community. It helps strengthen the partnership between the community and police.

The event will feature food trucks, a bike show, concert, dunk a cop for a cause, obstacle course, bounce house, PAL hot dogs and fitness demos.

There will also be demonstrations and displays of countless emergency services vehicles from Summit Police, Public Works, the First Aid Squad, Summit Fire, NJ State Police, the FBI, Union County Sheriffs Office K9 Unit, Union County Bomb Squad, Union County SWAT and so much more.
