Summit Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) Awards 2022 Scholarships

July 6, 2022 - The annual Summit Police Athletic League (P.A.L.)
scholarship program celebrates students' academic, athletic, and community
outreach achievements and recognizes their service contribution to the
community and athletic programs. Graduating seniors are highlighted for their
perseverance and earning their degrees which transform their lives, that of
their families, and the community. The
P.A.L. supports students starting with the D.A.R.E. program and provides
funding for community and athletic events throughout the year.

The scholarship recognizes six outstanding Summit seniors from
the class of 2022 who have distinguished themselves in their ability to provide
leadership academically, athletically, and in their communities. This year, the
Summit P.A.L. awarded scholarships to Amanda Brown, Lara Cota, Carter Frey,
Olivia Lawlor, Aira Poticano, and April Sanchez. All in, the P.A.L. was able to
provide $30,000 in scholarships for 2022.

"We are proud of what each of our recipients has
accomplished. We hope these students will prosper in college and continue to
engage and give back to their community and the Summit P.A.L. program beyond
graduation." Says Chris Murphy, Secretary of the Summit P.A.L

The Summit P.A.L.’s mission is to build lasting connections
between the community and police officers of Summit. We meet our mission by
sponsoring and hosting events and programs that create pride and foster
community spirit in our great city of Summit.

fundraising efforts and made possible from our community’s generous financial
