Summit Sets Fall Back To School Night Schedule
Summer is winding down and the school year is ramping up.
SUMMIT, NJ - The new school year is a few weeks away and the Summit School District has set the back to school night schedule for fall.
The elementary schools kick things off on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
- Brayton Elementary at 6:30 p.m.
- Franklin Elementary at 6:30 p.m.
- Jefferson Elementary at 7 p.m.
- Lincoln-Hubbard Elementary at 7 p.m.
- Washington Elementary at 7 p.m.
Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School is set for 7 p.m. on September 19. The Wilson Primary Center will welcome guests at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 and Jefferson Primary Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sept. 25.

Summit High School will close things out at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26.

- First day of school: Sept. 3
- Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 30
- Yom Kippur: Oct. 9
- Single Session: Oct. 28
- Single Session: Nov. 4
- Conference/No School: Nov. 5
- Single Session: Nov. 6
- No School/NJEA Conference: Nov. 7-8
- Thanksgiving break: Single Session Nov. 27, off Nov. 28-29
- Winter break: Dec. 23 to Jan. 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school closed: Jan. 20
- Single Session: Jan. 31
- Single Session: Feb. 3
- President's Day, school closed: Feb. 17, Feb. 18
- Spring break: April 6-10
- Memorial Day, school closed: May 25
- Single Session/Last Day of School: June 22
Noting these dates are good way to prepare for going back to school. But don't forget the school supplies.
