Summit Shuts Down Garages (Temporarily)

SUMMIT, NJ - Some maintenance work is going to put the Tier Garage out of commission for part of the next two weekends, according to officials.

The Tier Garage with entrances on Maple Street and Springfield Avenue will be closed for power washing and painting from 7 p.m. on Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday. The garage will be closed again from 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 to complete painting work.

The alley from Maple Street to the garage may be closed intermittently, but emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

For information on where to park while the Tier garage is closed go to the City of Summit website or call the Parking Services Agency at 908-522-5100.
