Summit Student Is A National Champion

The Summit Speech and Debate Team made history at the National Speech and Debate Association's National Tournament.

SUMMIT, NJ — The Summit Speech and Debate Team made history at the National Speech and Debate Association's National Tournament two weeks ago.

Kimberly Lee won first place in Dramatic Interpretation, which is Summit's first National champion. Lee placed first in a field of 248 competitors in the event.

Summit High School also won a School of Excellence in Speech award by ranking in the top 20 out of 1000 schools competing in the national tournament.
