Summit Transformer Fire Causes Outages, Road Closure
JCP&L is reporting a total of 778 Summit residents are currently without power. An estimated restoration time is 5 p.m.

SUMMIT, NJ — A transformer fire is causing outages for more than 750 Summit residents and road closure on Thursday afternoon.
The fire is being reported on Summit Avenue causing the roadway to close between Parmley Place and Deforest Avenue, Summit Police reported at 2:45 p.m.
Two traffic signals at Route 124 and Summit Avenue, and at Route 124 and Hobart Avenue are also out as a result of the outage.

It will take a minimum of one to two hours for JCP&L to assess and fix, police report.
