Teaching children to be more resilient.
Resilience is something that is lacking in children nowadays due over-parenting and how frequently they hear of overnight success stories.

With a culture that is so instant right now, and with social media everywhere, it is very easy to witness overnight success. Many children, teens, and young adults see and idolize “billionaire tech entrepreneurs and YouTube sensations in their 20’s”, and fail to see the sweat, blood and tears that go into success. Because of this, children and young adults are less inclined to work hard and to know what it is to work hard for success.
Parents are also more protective and less willing to let their children stumble and fail. Over-parenting and helicopter parenting stop kids from taking responsibility, making mistakes and owning up to their mistakes. This, coupled with the fact that children and young adults are becoming accustomed to having an answer at their fingertips (answers for anything are practically one Google click away) and accustomed to having instant results, cause them to become less resilient. They’re less tough, and this can lead to more anxious and entitled kids and adults.
