Thief Swaps Bicycles In Summit: Police

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department is looking for the person responsible for stealing an unsecured bike from a business on Springfield Avenue on March 29.

According to authorities, surveillance cameras showed a thinly built black mane, approximately 5’7”, wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt and gray sweatpants ride onto the property on a
women’s light blue bicycle.

The man then switches his belongings from the women’s bicycle to the unsecured men’s bicycle and rides off, police said.

The stolen bicycle was described as a green and black Rockhopper men’s bicycle, valued at approximately $550.
