What a wonderful night it was for the Junior League of Summit Thursday evening. Members and prospective members enjoyed a delightful cocktail party at the home of the JLS President Colleen Markley in Chatham. It was a chance for the women to welcome newcomers and also give their thoughts on the direction of the JLS for the year ahead, including new big projects for the community.
The JLS is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
The JLS is focused on advancing the interests of children and families in and around the communities of Berkeley Heights, Chatham, New Providence and Summit, New Jersey.
