If you've ever had a rubber ducky in your bathtub, it might have been the size of your hand, or maybe a little bigger or smaller. It definitely wasn't 40 feet tall, that's for sure. If you want a rubber duck that size, though, we've got one for you. On September 27 the city of Pittsburgh was very surprised to wake up and find a giant 40-foot-tall rubber ducky floating right there in the Allegheny River. The duck, hatched there by a group that raises money for the city, hung out for about a month. Millions of people came to see the duck, take their picture with it, and so on. After making such a big splash, the duck was taken away in late October, dried off, and put in hiding. We're all hoping he comes back out for another visit - after all, he's going to need a bath at some point.
Now here's today's math~
Wee ones: Who's taller, a 40-foot-tall rubber ducky or a 30-foot-tall flagpole?

Big kids: Say a two-story house is 24 feet tall. How much taller is this 40-foot duck? Bonus: If you planted that duck on your lawn and stacked 3-foot boxes next to it, how many boxes would you need to stack and stand on to be taller than the duck if you're 5 feet tall?
