Tutor 'Inappropriately Touched' Union County Teen: Prosecutor
Breaking: Nestor Saavedra was tutoring the Elizabeth teen in his Roselle Park home when the sexual contact occurred: Prosecutor.

ELIZABETH, NJ — A Roselle Park private tutor and substitute teacher has been arrested and charged with inappropriately touching a teenager in his home, acting Union County Prosecutor Thomas Isenhour announced Friday.
Nestor Saavedra, 49, also worked as a contracted substitute teacher in Elizabeth Public Schools since 2014, serving at various schools within the district.
Saavedra was tutoring the Elizabeth teenager in his Roselle Park home when the sexual contact occurred, following an investigation led by Roselle Park Police Detective John Deegan.

He was arrested without incident Thursday night and is scheduled to make a first appearance in court in the coming days.
Saavedra is charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

He could face three to five years in state prison on the third-degree crimes.
