"The Vandal" A Dark Comedy, NJ Premiere, Alliance Rep

"The Vandal" is a funny play about how we live and the stories we tell ourselves when we're haunted by the people we've loved and lost.

The Alliance Repertory Theatre Company is proud to present the NJ Premiere of the dark comedy “The Vandal” opening Friday September 30th at MONDO in Summit, NJ. This moving play by Hamish Linklater is directed by Betsy True and includes Beth Painter, Will Callahan and David Christopher.

“The Vandal” is a funny play about how we live and the stories we tell ourselves when we're haunted by the people we've loved and lost. The setting brings us to a cold night in upstate New York, where three lonesome souls cross paths seeking warmth and solace.

Fantastic Four, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and Battleship. With “The Vandal” Hamish has proven that he is a talented playwright providing smart dialogue and intriguing characters in this spooky work.

Director Betsy True explains “The Vandal investigates the themes of life, death and the need for our lives to have significance. It explores our deep need to connect with others as we journey through this world, told with humor, heart and a little bit of magic.” She adds “I am delighted with our talented cast. They are fearless in approaching this fascinating, multi-layered play.”

“The Vandal” runs September 30 –October 15, 2016 Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm. There is one Thursday night show October 6th at 8pm.
