Visual Arts Center of NJ Hosts Fall Road Trip to Hudson Valley Art Museums

Visit two iconic museums: DIA: Beacon and Storm King Art Center.

On Thursday, October 20 the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is hosting a bus trip to the scenic Hudson Valley to visit two iconic museums: DIA: Beacon and Storm King Art Center. The bus will depart from the Art Center, 68 Elm Street, Summit promptly at 9:00 am and will return at approximately 5:00 pm. A boxed lunch will be served at one of the two museums.First stop will be contemporary artmuseum, Dia: Beacon, Riggio

Galleries, located on the banks of the Hudson River in Beacon, New York.

Visit will include a special guided tour of the Dia Art Foundation’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present.The trip will continue onto Storm King Art Center, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading sculpture parks.Set on 500 acres in the lower Hudson Valley, the property’s fields, hills, and woodlands provides the setting for a collection of more than 100 carefully sited sculptures. The largest collection of contemporary outdoor sculptures in the United States, Storm King features sculptures created by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time.

Tickets: $125 Members; $150 Non-Members. Ticket includes: round trip transportation, lunch, guided tours and museum admission. There is no rain date, if weather is inclement, guests will visit an artist studio and galleries in Beacon, NY.
