Want to Know Where to Eat in Summit? Ask a First-Grader
Lincoln Hubbard students recently reviewed some local eateries.
Mrs. Hubbard's class at Lincoln-Hubbard Elementary School wrote reviews of thwir favorite restaurants during their unit on opinion writing.
During the lesson, the students were taught how to form an opinion, and ways to express their views through writing.
By writing restaurant reviews, the students were responsible for articulating why the restaurant is their favorite, what they like to order and who they usually eat there with.

"I think the kids enjoyed doing this project because it was personal to them," Ferry said. "It helped show them that their opinions are important."
