Is your New Year’s Resolution to Volunteer more? Be a mentor!

The mission of Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA) is to support motivated high school students at 5 private high schools in New Jersey’s urban areas of Essex, Hudson and Union counties with tuition assistance and mentoring to increase their chances for college admission and scholarships, and ultimately to lead successful and productive lives. Since 1993, SP/A has given 2300 scholarships and 99% of SP/A scholarship recipients graduate from the high school where they were awarded their scholarship.

SP/A creates relationships between students and mentors who commit to providing mentoring to students during their high school years. Mentoring is a powerful way to positively impact a young person’s life. Currently, SP/A has over 150 mentors.
