2 Men Killed In Weekend Crash In Teaneck Identified: Prosecutors
Two Bergen County men were riding in a car on Teaneck Road when the car left the road and struck a tree before overturning.

TEANECK, NJ — Two men killed in a weekend crash in Teaneck have been identified by authorities, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Forty-year-old Rudy Rosales Escobar of Hasbrouck Heights and 29-year-old Alexander Cosme Curruchich of Englewood died early Saturday morning when the car they were riding in crashed on Teaneck Road, authorities said.
The driver of the car — 32-year-old Teddy Mejia — was charged with vehicular homicide following the crash, prosecutors said.

According to authorities, the three men were in a 2021 BMW when the car left the road near Bilton Street and struck a tree before overturning. Mejia was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment, prosecutors said.
Escobar and Curruchich died at the crash scene, prosecutors said.

Authorities arrested Mejia and discovered a controlled substance in his possession, prosecutors said, adding that he was also suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
