3 Teaneck Brothers Make Collegiate Basketball History

The Hod siblings — Jordan, Justin and Tyler — all appeared in the game at the same time, a first in NCAA Division III basketball history.

TEANECK, N.J. — The three Hod brothers did something Wednesday that had never been done before: They all played in a Division III collegiate basketball game at the same time.

The brothers — Jordan, Justin and Tyler — appeared together on the court during Yeshiva University's 73-43 win over Sarah Lawrence College. it is the first time in NCAA Division III men's basketball history that three siblings on the same team were on the floor at the same time.

Justin and Tyler Hod, both guards, checked into the game late in the first quarter and Jordan, a senior, stayed on the court.

Jordan Hod scored 6 points, had a game-high eight assists, grabbed two rebounds, blocked a shot and forced a steal. Justin Hod scored 2 points and Tyler Hod dished out two assists and grabbed a rebound.

The boys' father, Lior and uncle, Ayal played for Yeshiva in the 1980s. Ayal Hod is the second leading scorers in the program's history with 1,807 career points. Lior Hod is right behind him at number three with 1,541 points.
