To Be the Blessing

A Seasonal Message from St. Mark's to the people of Teaneck

The community of St. Mark's Episcopal Church has watched with concern and sadness as the tensions enveloping our world have impacted Teaneck this year. For many of us of different faiths or even no religious practice, this is a season of hope and resilience that can be both difficult and cathartic to experience in the midst of an often hostile reality.

Inspired by a prayer written by the Rt. Rev. Steven Charleston, a retired bishop, author, and elder of the Choctaw nation, we created this short video as a reaffirmation of who we aspire to be and the role we believe we are meant to play in our families, community, and the world. It is our message of commitment to all of you as we hope, work, and pray for a more just and peaceful world.
