Upcoming Event: “Whimsical Winter” Art Exhibition & Bazaar

This year, the Hackensack Art Club will proudly present its opening art exhibition titled

“Whimsical Winter” Art Exhibition & Bazaar, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 6:30 PM to8 :00 PM, at the Johnson Public Library, 274 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ.The event will also feature a holiday art bazaar, offering beautiful original works for $60 or less - a perfect opportunity to support local artists and find unique gifts for the holidays. Visitors can meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and celebrate the spirit of art and community.

“Whimsical Winter” is more than an art show — it’s a celebration of community,i magination, and joy, said Monica Chavarria, President of the Hackensack Art Club.  Each artist brings a unique style and voice to the collection, making this exhibit  an inspiring reflection of the season’s spirit. Join us — bring a friend, enjoy the art, and maybe buy something special!

Hackensack Art Club Celebrates 87 Years of Artistic Tradition and Community Service. Hackensack, NJ — November 6, 2025. The Hackensack Art Club proudly celebrates 87 years of creativity, culture, and community connection. Founded in 1938 by a group of local artists, the club has remained a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting art and enriching the community through diverse artistic experiences.

The club’s very first exhibition was held at the Johnson Public Library in Hackensack — a partnership that continues to this day, with the library hosting annual exhibitions by the club’s  talented members. Over the decades, the Hackensack Art Club has fostered a thriving community of artists and art lovers of all ages and backgrounds.

Beyond exhibitions, the club has been deeply involved in community service through art, bringing creativity and joy to Hackensack residents through a wide variety of events, including:
● Art demonstrations and workshops for members and the public
● Plein air painting sessions in local parks
● Fundraising art bazaars and holiday events
● Collaborative exhibitions with local organizations
● Art parties, cultural celebrations, and public mural projects
● Educational outreach in schools and senior centers
