Community Safety Is Topic Of Special Meeting Wednesday

Bomb squad, police officials to discuss safety and security measures.

The township is holding a safety seminar Wednesday for local houses of worship after the racially motivated killings last month in South Carolina.

Planning and implementing security programs, training in safety techniques, inspections of buildings, and maintaining relationships with local public safety officials, the event’s announcement states.

Speakers will including Teaneck Police Chief Robert Carney, Teaneck Fire Department Chief Anthony Verley, Michael Saudino of the Bergen County Sheriff ’s Bomb Squad and K-9 Unit, William Stallone of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and Rabbi Abe Friedman, the Teaneck Police Chaplain.
