Drunk Woman Didn't Notice Road Sign Stuck In Sunroof: Police
"Thankfully no one was seated in the backseat of the vehicle or this could have been a different situation," the police captain said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police came upon a strange sight recently: an allegedly drunk woman who had a metal traffic sign and pole sticking out of her sunroof. The kicker — she didn't even know it was there, cops say.
Officer David Polanco saw the Lexus driven by Maria Vazquez, 52, of Hawthorne on Route 46 at 12:45 a.m. Saturday and stopped her, South Hackensack Capt. Robert Kaiser said.
Vazquez said she was not aware of the NJ Transit sign pole sticking out the car, Kasier said.

Police investigated and determined that Vazquez hit the sign in Secaucus and then fled the scene, the captain said.
