TEANECK, NJ — A Bergen County police lieutenant was charged with DWI in Teaneck earlier this month after police found him asleep at the wheel of his truck, which had blocked an intersection.
Teaneck Police Chief Glenn O'Reilly said officers responded to the area around Suffern Road and Wilson Avenue after 4 a.m. on Aug. 1 after receiving a report "of a vehicle parked with its lights on for approximately 1 hour."
When officers arrived, they found a truck partially blocking the intersection, and Englewood Police Lieutenant Gregory Martin asleep at the wheel, O'Reilly said.
