"Bullied" Screening

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in conjunction with the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, will screen the movie "Bullied" on Saturday, September 15 at 6 p.m.

"Bullied" is a moving documentary short film. It tells the story of a boy who was so severely beaten and taunted by classmates because of his sexual orientation—and ignored by school administrators—that he had serious physical, emotional and psychological injuries. It also shows the steps he, his parents and civic leaders took to put a stop to it and establish new expectations in their community.

Schools, parents and youth have become more aware of bullying and increased efforts to address it in recent years. This program will enhance those endeavors by providing an opportunity for youth, parents, teachers, school administrators and other community leaders to have explore this issue together.
