Teen Auditions: All You Need is Love at Garage Conservatory

The Garage Theatre Group’s Youth Conservatory is looking for talented teens: singers, dancers, gymnasts, musicians, clowns and more!  Auditions will be held this month for All You Need is Love…and the Beatles, an interactive tour-de-force to be performed at the Becton Theatre, 960 River Road, on the Fairleigh Dickinson campus in Teaneck.

      Auditions for All You Need is Love…and the Beatles are open to children from 10 -18 years old.  The show is an interactive celebration of the Beatles music in song, dance and multimedia.  It’s a chance for kid performers to show their stuff to some of the best music of a generation .  Performances will be held March 9 – 11 at the Becton Theater, with rehearsals beginning on January 2, 2012.

     The acclaimed Garage Theatre Group Youth Conservatory for years has been training area students—primarily between the ages of 10 and 18. “The Youth Conservatory creates some of the finest performances in New Jersey, regardless of the age of the performers,” says Michael Bias, artistic director of the Garage, who will be directing All You Need Is Love…and the Beatles.  “More importantly, our shows are unique learning experiences for the actors.  They develop leadership skills, and they learn teamwork and responsibility. Of course, it’s also lots of fun, and the friendships they forge here can last a lifetime!”

     Auditions for All You Need is Love…And the Beatles will be held from 7 pm to 10:00 pm on Monday, December 19 and Thursday, December 22.  Singers should prepare a song and bring sheet music. Dancers should come ready to dance.  Gymnasts, mimes magicians and all others should come prepared to show off their talents. Show us your hidden talents. There’s a place for everyone in this unique production!
