  • Gene Sklar is the retired ED of East Harlem's Union Settlement Assoc., a not-for-profit community development organization offering such services as child care, adult education, affordable housing, mental health and college readiness programs. He is a founder and initial president of the East Harlem Historic Association and led walking tours of East Harlem for the 92nd Street Y and Museum of the City of New York and taught NYC history at Bergen County's Institute for New Dimension.
