Hackensack Mom Accused Of Biting Officer During School Dropoff
A Hackensack woman is accused of attacking a cop Monday after the officer told her she was blocking traffic and asked her to exit the car.

HACKENSACK, NJ — A woman in Hackensack is accused of attacking and biting a police officer Monday morning after the officer told her she was blocking a lane of traffic and asked her to get out of the car.
Hackensack police say the incident happened at 8:30 Monday morning at Fairmount Elementary School; officers were assisting school personnel with a newly initiated drop-off procedure for students.
That's when police say one parent, Parona Brown, 41, refused to cooperate with the procedure and
blocked a lane of traffic. Police said they checked her license plate and found her registration was expired. That's when Hackensack Police Lieutenant Tina Cappadonna asked Brown to park her
car in order to speak with her. The mom still refused to cooperate and did not move her vehicle out of the street, said police.

Cappadonna said she ordered Brown to exit her vehicle and opened the driver's side door. That's when police say Brown assaulted the officer, and bit her three times, puncturing the skin on her neck and arm. Another officer came to the scene, and Brown is also accused of punching Captain Nicole Foley in the chest before being subdued by officers.
Brown, a Hackensack resident, was arrested and transported to an area hospital with a complaint of difficulty breathing. She was treated and released and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and other charges. She was released on a summons.
