Teaneck Math Wiz Invited To Attend Special Conference

Rin Anderson, 12, is a 6th-grader studying high school-level math.

TEANECK, NJ — In many ways, Rin Anderson is a typical 12-year-old girl. She likes to cook and play the violin.

But Anderson is well beyond her years when it comes to math. She studies high school math. While her classmates are learning ratios, Anderson is translating parabolas.

Because of her academic accomplishments, Anderson has been invited to the second annual Kumon Student Conference in Canada July 18. Only 56 students in the United States were invited to the conference.
