Holy Name’s Physician Network Continues Expansion

Holy Name, the region’s leading independent health system, today announced the addition of 20 new clinicians to its rapidly expanding physician network. Holy Name Physicians now includes more than 400 providers with locations throughout Northern New Jersey.

“We are proud to welcome so many talented healthcare professionals to Holy Name,” said Dr. Vasantha Kondamudi, executive vice president and chief medical officer at Holy Name. “They each bring deep clinical expertise and a shared commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care that will further strengthen our ability to serve patients and families.”

The following healthcare professionals joined the network:

Tahera Ali, DO, is a family medicine physician who provides whole-person care with compassion and empathy. She is especially interested in prevention medicine and has extensive experience in treating diabetes and other chronic conditions. Dr. Ali earned her medical degree from the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, and completed her residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York. She sees patients at the Secaucus location.

Samira Akel, NP, is an intensive care nurse practitioner dedicated to honoring each patient’s autonomy and dignity. She is guided by the principle of treating patients as she would like to be treated and provides care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Samira earned her nurse practitioner degree from Walden University. She sees patients at Holy Name in Teaneck.

Kristy Atoot, NP, is a nurse practitioner who strives to empower her patients and collaborates with them to ensure their experience is non-judgmental, individualized, and unrushed. Kristy earned her Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was born at Holy Name and is thrilled to join the staff in the Secaucus office.

Vincent Ayako, NP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in primary and pulmonary sleep medicine. He takes an evidence-based approach to care that incorporates patients’ physical, mental, cultural, and spiritual health. Vincent earned his Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rutgers and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He treats patients at the Secaucus office.

Thomas Bellavia, MD, is a family medicine doctor with more than four decades of medical practice. Dr. Bellavia has been a trusted and sought-after physician in Hasbrouck Heights. He proudly provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from newborns and children to teens, adults, and seniors, offering the continuity and lifelong relationships that define true family medicine.

Aimee Cruz, MSN, is a nurse practitioner who provides compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She finds the greatest reward in building trusted relationships and making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families. Aimee earned her master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is proud to be part of Holy Name, known for its advanced care and commitment to the community. She is located at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.

Kristal Diaz, NP, is a nurse practitioner who provides compassionate, patient-focused care that empowers her patients. She builds relationships with her patients through active listening, education, and shared decision-making. She is passionate about preventive care and chronic disease management, which focus on early detection and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Kristal obtained her master's degree in nursing from United States University in San Diego, California. Kristal sees patients at the Secaucus location.

Joyce Feliciano, APN, is a nurse practitioner who earned her Master of Science in Nursing and a Post-Master’s certificate in Family Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. She will see patients at the Hasbrook location. Joyce is proud to be part of an independent health system committed to providing patients with high-quality, compassionate care.

Shantha Franks, DNP, APN, C, Dr. Shantha Franks is an adult and gerontological nurse practitioner with over 30 years of practice in healthcare. Dr. Franks completed her BSN and MSN from William Paterson University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Seton Hall University. She worked with older adults in long-term care for over a decade and is passionate about interventions that improve their quality of life. Dr. Franks is also an associate professor of nursing and finds great fulfillment in educating and mentoring future nurse practitioners. She sees patients at the Oradell location.

Eliyahu Fuchs, MD, is a compassionate, personable gastroenterologist with more than 35 years of experience caring for patients. He is committed to staying at the forefront of gastroenterology, continuously incorporating the latest advances and techniques in a rapidly evolving field. A skilled leader and innovator, Dr. Fuchs is proud to help expand the gastroenterology department at Holy Name, building on similar work he has done at other institutions. Dr. Fuchs earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He pursued advanced fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology in Boston and therapeutic endoscopy in Toronto. Dr. Fuchs is located at Holy Name in Teaneck.

Khalid Jumean, MD, is a nocturnist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. He earned his medical degree from Hashemite University Faculty of Medicine in Jordan and completed his residency at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. He values helping patients recover and is proud to be part of Holy Name’s patient-centered team committed to delivering high-quality care. He is located at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck.

Ravneet Kaur, MD, is a family medicine physician who provides compassionate, comprehensive care. She is committed to the relationships she builds with her patients and strives to ensure they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their health care decisions. With expertise in integrative medicine, Dr. Kaur takes a whole-person approach to care, thoughtfully considering the mind–body connection and a range of holistic treatment options for each patient. She offers services including cupping, gua sha, mindfulness practices, nutrition counseling, and herbal and supplement management, along with other holistic approaches to wellness at Holy Name. Dr. Kaur earned her medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She completed a fellowship in Academic Integrative Health at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, and Integrative Medicine for the Underserved. Her practice is based in Bergenfield.

Y. David Kim, MD, is a Teaneck-based advanced gastroenterologist specializing in complex endoscopic procedures. Dr. Kim takes a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing empathy and shared decision-making. He values helping patients achieve meaningful improvements in their health and quality of life. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University. He pursued fellowships in gastroenterology and hepatology at Temple University and advanced endoscopy at the University of Florida. An avid researcher, his work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, and he has presented at conferences nationwide.

Wei Ping Lin, DO, is an OB-GYN dedicated to providing patient-centered care grounded in evidence-based medicine, clear communication, and empathy. He has a special interest in the use of artificial intelligence to enhance physician training and medical education, and has lectured on innovative teaching strategies, professional development, and the ethical integration of emerging technologies into healthcare education. Dr. Lin earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed his OB-GYN residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He treats patients in Teaneck.

Patrick McAuliffe, PA-C, is a Teaneck-based physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. Edson Pineda, APN, is a nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in internal medicine. He is honored to join Holy Name, an organization known for its comprehensive, compassionate care. Edson earned his Master of Science in Nursing from St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey. He sees patients at the Bayonne office.

Veronica Vargas Pineda, DO, is a family medicine physician dedicated to helping her patients achieve a healthy and happy life. She earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York, and completed her residency at Rutgers. Active in her community, Dr. Vargas Pineda has contributed to medical education by teaching medical students in clinical settings. She treats patients at the office in Bayonne.

Heather Sabol, MS, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in internal medicine who delivers compassionate, patient-centered care. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and appreciates Holy Name’s collaborative approach to providing personalized, high-quality care. Heather earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She also serves as a professor in the Physician Assistant program at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Heather is based in Secaucus.

Neelam Sharma, MD, FACOG, provides thoughtful, personalized, and evidence-based OB-GYN care to patients in Teaneck. She appreciates being a part of pivotal life moments such as childbirth and surgery. Dr. Sharma earned her medical degree from BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur, India, where she also completed her residency and served as Chief Resident. She completed a second OB-GYN residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Arush Singh, MD, is a gastroenterologist who ensures that each patient feels heard, supported, and part of the decision-making process. Dr. Singh obtained a combined undergraduate and medical degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, before pursuing his residency at Boston Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Tampa General Hospital. He also holds an MBA from UCLA. Dr. Singh sees patients at the Secaucus office.
