Jailed Teaneck Man Faces New Sexual Assault Charges: Prosecutor
August Samek is charged with sexually assaulting a child. He faces similar assault charges dating back to 2019, authorities said.
TEANECK, NJ — A Teaneck man is charged with the sexual assault of a minor. He was served these charges from inside a Bergen County jail cell, where he's been since November, when he violated conditions of his release from another sexual assault charge, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.
Teaneck Police reported the sexual assault of a child to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office on Feb. 25, authorities said. After an investigation, authorities charged August Samek, 47, with sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a minor on March 4.
Samek has been held at the Bergen County Jail since November when the Prosecutor's Office said he violated release conditions from sexual assault charges dating back to 2019.

Those charges included aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a Northjersey.com report.
Samek is scheduled for a detention hearing on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
