Lodi Man Charged With Murder Of Woman Found At Teaneck Park

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman found in a creek in Teaneck's Overpeck County Park. A juvenile has also been charged.

TEANECK, NJ — A Lodi man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with the murder of a woman reported missing to Cresskill Police.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's office announced the arrest of Nicolas Coirazza, 19, on Monday evening. Coirazza has been charged with murder, possesion of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, disturbing human remains, tampering with evidence, hindering apprehension of another and hindering apprehension of self.

Cresskill Police received a 911 call reporting a missing person, Divna Rosasco, after midnight on Monday. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers from the Bergen County Sheriff's Office located Rosasco's unoccupied vehicle parked in a lot at Overpeck County Park in Teaneck.

A K-9 search of the area led officers to the end of a dock in the park, where they found Rosasco's body covered in a bedsheet and submerged in water. A plastic bag was found wrapped around the victim's head, and the body was weighed down by cinder blocks, according to the prosecutor's office.

Officers located Coirazza and a juvenile attempting to leave the area in an Uber in a nearby hotel parking lot.

According to the prosecutor's office, an investigation found that Coirazza knew the victim's family, and was visiting her home in Cresskill when the murder accorded.

The juvenile, of Cresskill, who is charged with one count of disturbing human remains, one count of hindering apprehension of another, one count of hindering apprehension of self and one count of tampering with evidence, was recruited by Coirazza to help dispose of the body, according to the prosecutor's office.

The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Cresskill Police Department and Bergen County Sheriff's Office.

No information was given regarding a court date for Coirazza, or the juvenile.
