Man Found Guilty In Road Rage Incident That Killed Teaneck Woman: Report

John Emili, 24, was found guilty of vehicular homicide.

A New York man was found guilty of vehicular homicide for his role in a road rage incident on the Garden State Parkway in 2012 that lead to a Teaneck woman’s death, The Record reported.

John Emili, 24, and Thomas J. Vanderweit, were allegedly driving recklessly on the parkway on July 1, 2012 and caused an accident that killed Anneta Billingy, 63.

The incident started near Route 17 and ended between 167 and 168 on the Garden State Parkway.

Vanderweit and Emili were driving erratically, making numerous lane changes and speeding, New York State Police said. Emili attempted to pass Vangerweit on the right in the exit lane when he lost control of his Honda Pilot, police said.

His car bounced off the guardrail, sending it into a collision with VAnderweit’s Chevy Trailblazer, police said. Billingy, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Vanderweit was convicted of vehicular homicide last year, The Record reported. He was sentenced to six years in state prison.
