Man Tried To Sexually Assault Child In Bergen County Park, Prosecutor Says
A man was arrested for criminal sexual contact with a child in a Bergen County park last weekend, officials said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An Englewood Cliffs man was charged Wednesday with trying to sexually assault a child in a local park, prosecutors said Friday.
Sebasian Nino-Lopez, 31, was charged with luring, as well as two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that last Saturday, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault.

An investigation determined that Nino-Lopez "attempted to sexually assault a juvenile at Mackay Park in Englewood," prosecutors said.
A police report obtained by Patch says that Nino-Lopez tried the lure the child to a secluded area and touch the child's vagina. The child was identified as being under 18.

The report also refers to an incident between May 16 and last Saturday in which Nino-Lopez was accused of providing a child with marijuana and alcohol and allegedly touching the victim's breasts and vagina.
Nino-Lopez was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await an appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
