Marijuana Stash In Car Leads Bergen County Police To Harder Drugs: Cops
Police in Bergen County saw marijuana in a car, conducted a search, and arrested the driver on cocaine and ecstasy distribution charges.
TEANECK, NJ — A traffic stop in Teaneck on Thursday led to drug distribution charges for the driver, said police.
Aurelio Sanchez, 31, of Paterson was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy, Teaneck police said.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Officer Kevin Rodriguez, was conducting traffic enforcement near Teaneck Road and Selvage Avenue. He pulled over a grey Honda Accord for an alleged traffic violation, police said.

While talking to the driver, Rodriguez saw suspected marijuana "in plain view, and developed reasonable suspicion to believe the vehicle contained illegal narcotics," police said.
Police found approximately 6 grams of suspected cocaine, 114 pills (2 ounces) of suspected ecstasy, 2.3 ounces of suspected marijuana in various containers, six pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, and four THC vape devices, police said.

Sanchez was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute ecstasy, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Sanchez was also issued several motor vehicle summonses related to the stop, police said.
The car was impounded.
Sanchez was taken to the Bergen County Corrections and Rehabilitation Center to await his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, police said.
