Police Find 19 Weapons In Teaneck Man's Home: Police
Jose L. Paz's home was searched after police found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop, police said.
TEANECK, N.J. — Police found assorted weapons, some of which were homemade, in a township’s man home that was searched after authorities found suspected marijuana in his car during a traffic stop, said Chief Robert A. Carney.
Members of the police department’s Narcotics Squad while driving stopped Jose L. Paz on Tuesday, Carney said.
Paz, 21, was in possession of suspected marijuana, packaging materials, and digital scale, the chief said.

Police subsequently searched his residence and found 19 assorted “blunt and edged” weapons, some of which were homemade, more suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and another digital scale, police said.
Paz was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, distribution of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of weapons, Carney said.

Paz was released on a summons pending his initial appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court Wednesday morning, police reported.
